I am a junior journalism major at Bradley University. Additionally, I have minors in management & leadership and PR/Advertising. Currently, I am the editor-in-chief of The Scout, the student-run newspaper at Bradley.
Me and my goals
My name is Angeline Schmelzer and I am from the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I have a dog and a cat who might love to sleep more than I do. (They definitely get more of it.) Even though I have a passion for writing, it always seems like I can’t find the time do it nearly as much as I want to. Maybe that is because of the endless distractions that reside on Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, YouTube and the internet in general.
I will graduate in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and hope to find a career in the media industry. My writing and editing abilities improve every year, and I never pass on an opportunity to keep enhancing these skills. A dream job of mine would be as a travel journalist or as an editor for a news publication.
